4 days ago I decided that I needed to make a change. Since June of last year, I have been struggling with gaining weight and then trying to lose it and not being very successful. I fell back into certain behaviors that sabotaged all my efforts. I could list all the reasons "why" but I don't want to make excuses. I accept my poor decisions and I'm moving on. Back in August, I purchased the 21 Day Fix program from Beachbody.com. I was pretty successful with the workout portion, but not so much with the food. I took before pictures at that time (I was actually about 7lbs less than I am now), but I've decided that I am going to use them as my before pictures for this journey, because I really don't look any different. Posting before pictures is one of the hardest, most humbling things a person can do, but it can be such a

 useful and motivating tool throughout the weight loss process. 

 

On Monday May 25, 2015, I started the 21 Day Fix again, but with a renewed commitment to do it wholeheartedly. So far this week I have completed the first 4 days of workouts and I have planned, pack and consumed the right foods for success. I gave up creamer in my coffee and I didn't eat the chocolate chip cookies my daughter made on Monday night.

 

The next 3 weeks will not be easy. There are so many obstacles coming my way, but I am aware of them and I'm determine to avoid them. My hope is to post on here daily as I take this journey and keep a journal of my experience with this program. Please feel free to leave me a comment on my home page.
